FM165 Hello & Sequins

Time is flying by today and I don't have much time to write this post, sorry!

This week at The Friday Mashup Holly has a fantastic challenge for us.

Oddly enough it took me some time to create my card this week. I went down the rabbit hole of browsing the internet for how to color with the blendabilities. I would say my flower turned out well for my first real try at the new markers!

Here's Your Mashup Challenge:

1. Create a project using "Sequins".
2. Create  a "Hello or Hi project".
3. or Mash it Up! and create a "Hello project with Sequins"

Stampset: Six Sided Sampler, Blended Bloom
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry
Ink/Markers: Black Momento, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Markers
Punches: Bird Builder Punch
Bigshot: Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, On Film Framelits
Accessories: Gold Sequin Trim

FM165 Simple Love ya

This week for The Friday Mashup Cindy challenged us to use Black, White and only one other color. That was a challenge for me! I think this was the first card I made with so little colors but I think it turned out fairly well. As an added challenge we could add a word bubble to our card. I stamped a lot of different word bubbles in different ink and card stock colors before I was happy with the one I used.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:

1. Create a project using the colors" Black , White/Ivory and one other color of your choice".
2. Create a project using a "Word Bubble".
3. or Mash it Up! and create a "Black & White project with a Word Bubble on it".

The button I used is not Stampin' Up. It came from a bunch of buttons my Grandma Murphy has collected over time. One of the last times I was in Ontario she allowed me to go though her stash of buttons to pick out ones I wanted for all my crafts. I came home with a medium sized ziploc bag full of many different kinds of buttons. Each one is special to me because she gave them to me. As well, it was the last visit I had with my Grandfather before he passed.

Stampset: Just Sayin'
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Fresh Prints Designer series pack
Ink: White Staz On
Bigshot: Word Bubble Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
Accessories: Neutral Chevron Ribbon

FM 164 Father's Day & Shrink Plastic

So this week at The Friday Mashup Lynda threw me for a loop but only for a moment. Her challenges were to make a Father's day card and stamp on something other than card stock. I had no idea what I could stamp on but then I remembered the Shrinky Dinks Plastic I bought a while ago and hadn't tried out yet. It certainly was a learning curve but once I figure out how to get it just right I came up with my fantastic card.

I didn't stamp everything on Shrinky Dinks plastic, just my sentiment but that counts right???

Here's your Friday Mashup:

1. Create a project for "Fathers Day, or that special man in your life"
2. Create a project with stamping on anything other than cardstock
3. Mash it up and create a Fathers day project with stamping on anything other than cardstock.

I created the print out for the sentiment banner in MDS and printed it. From there I followed the instructions on how to shrink the plastic into the small sentiment you see on my card.

Unfortunately my printer likes printing lines on larger photo or color images so I have a few lines on the Fathers Day banner but there wasn't anything I could do about it.

Stampset: Send me Soaring (retired), Hardwood, Life in the Forest
Paper: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink/Markers: Staz On, Pool Party, Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral, Basic Black
Bigshot: On Film Framelits
Tools: Stamping Sponges, MDS
Accessories: Shrinky Dinks Shrink Plastic
