Eiffel Tower "Loveable You" Blog Hop

I am very excited to be apart of the Paper Crafter Sampler design team and I would like to welcome you to our first blog hop. We are using the Eiffel Tower template featured in the "Loveable You" January 2015 issue of the Paper Crafter Sampler.

The Eiffel Tower looks complicated yet it was so simple! All I did was use the SVG File provided in the January issue and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo. I followed the video created by our leader Melanie Schulenberg and quickly created the tower.

After the tower was together I cut out the Butterfly in Gold Glimmer Paper and Velum. Curved the butterfly velum with my bone folder and adhered to the gold butterfly using a glue dot. I hid my glue dot using the Basic Pearls. Then I embossed my sentiment with Black Embossing Powder on my velum and adhered that the gold glimmer banner. Again, hiding it with more basic pearls. So simple yet my co-workers are loving the new "Candy holder".

Stampset: Oh, Goodie!
Paper: Gold Glimmer Paper, Velum, Retired DSP
Ink: Versa Mark
Punches: Banner
Bigshot: Butterfly Framelits
Tools: Heat Tool
Accessories: Basic Black Embossing Powder, Basic Pearls

Here's this weeks challenge at The Friday Mashup!

1. Create a project with a "Winter theme".
2. Create a project  with "Snowflakes".

3. or Mash it Up! and create a "Winter project with Snowflakes".

I love the challenge this week because it allowed me to think simple and I was able to get the card done quickly. I just got the Santa's List stamp set from the clearance rack but now I am wondering why I didn't get it sooner!

Here's your challenge this week at The Friday Mashup!
1. Create a project using the "Sketch".
2. Create a "2 Layer card with a grungy element in the background".
3. or Mash it Up! and create a project "using the sketch that's 2 layers only".

FM189 Grey and Embossing

I had fallen behind on my Friday Mashup creations and was down to the wire to get my card created for the design team. With little time to spare I rushed to my craft room and came up with the following card. It certainly isn't my best work and I bent the rules on the challenge a bit but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

When making the card I thought I just had to make sure I used Grey in my card. Since then I have learnt that I should have only used grey and silver. See what I mean about bending the rules?

Well I hope you are able to take some inspiration from my card to come up with something.

Here's your challenge this week at The Friday Mashup.

1. Create a project using "Basic Grey or Smoky Slate & Silver"
2. Create a project using "Dry or Heat Embossing"
3. Mash it up and create a project "using the colors Silver and Grey with some Embossing"

I did a lot of embossing, the background along with the frame is embossed. As well, I did heat embossing with my sentiment.

The sentiment will be in the new Stampin' Up Occasions catalog soon to launch.

Happy Holidays Everyone!
